Unlike most works of zombie fiction, ZDay has an antidote to the zombie virus, that will prevent players from becoming zombies when used. However, it does have a drawback- it will only work within the first few minutes of infection. Once a survivor has fully progressed into the zombie stage of infection, the antidote will no longer work on them.
